ACCOMMODATION

We offer two different options, a 4 star luxury option or a family-run pensión in our local village:

Option A: The Hotel Flamingo is a 4-star luxury hotel in the picturesque seaside village of L'Ampolla, overlooking the marina and beach, and is a perfect place to relax with a taste of luxury and comfort after a hard day in the saddle. You can relax in the pools, take a sauna, enjoy a drink in the seaview bar before dinner or explore the local town with its variety of bars and restaurants.

Option B: Can Subirats is a small family-run pensión in the centre of our local village of El Perello, which has a popular restaurant and bar as well. El Perello off the beaten tourist-track with a good selection of late-night bars and restaurants for you to enjoy evenings out. This option reflects the taste of authentic Spain, life in a thriving village in Catalan olive-producing country with friendly local people. There are numerous traditional fiestas (or celebrations) throughout the year - if you are lucky enough to come on one of those dates it's a real one-off treat.

NON-RIDERS ARE VERY WELCOME

This is a great place for a holiday for partners and children to enjoy themselves too whilst you are out offroading, and you can arrange a riding schedule that suits you and your family/partner's choices. We are very happy to help make a special holiday for them as well and to point them in the right direction for good places to visit & activities.

There are beautiful local sandy beaches with coves, beach-bars, watersports and restaurants stretching for miles from the village of L'Ampolla; a sand-dune nature & bird reserve with protected species such as flocks of flamingos; and Puerta Aventura theme park & water parks are nearby. The Terra-Alta region is well set out for hiking, mountain biking & mountaineering opportunities, whilst the River Ebro is world famous for carp & catfishing.

The well-known resorts of Salou and Sitges are just up the coast and our riders sometimes link up with wives and partners holidaying there. Barcelona, with its amazing wealth of history, art, Gothic quarters, shopping and vibrant nite-life, is a 10 Euro trainride away. Car hire is cheap, from as little as 15 Euros a day.
